We have a new theme for Propeller Blades. The theme is one that was considered and rejected for Propeller. I’ve started porting over to a wordpress theme, but I don’t have a lot of time to work on it so it may be awhile before it actually shows up.

Admittedly Alexa has sometimes not always had the best data, but if they are even close to right then the trend for Propeller.com is good and traffic is on the rise.

Propeller Blades is a site to collect all the updates, buzz, and info of the new Propeller.com It is but one small planet in the whole Propeller universe. There are several other planets devoted to all things Propeller. I thought I would help direct you to some of the more useful ones.

• Propeller Talk

  Propeller Talk is a site developed and run by the Propeller community. It is dedicated to the proposition that all sites are not created equal. Propeller Talk is committed to improving the quality and social interaction of Propeller.com while addressing the issues that are important to the Propeller community as a whole.

• Propeller Chat

  Propeller Chat is forum that is there to help the community build a voice and letting that voice get heard.

Propeller Blog

Propeller Blog is the official Propeller.com blog. Look there for any official Propeller announcements and for the wildly popular “Week in Review” posts.

These are just of few of the site I visited related to Propeller.  Please feel free to leave a comment if there are any Propeller sites that you visit on a regular basis.

We’ve updated the widgets page with information about the current set of apis and widgets available for use with propeller.

Anyone who comes here can see that not a lot has happened on the site recently.  Propeller Blades shouldn’t be dormant much longer.  We have lassoed a couple of more authors and editors, so you should start seeing updates on a more regular basis.

Netscape Navigator 9 is still in beta but RC1 is expected to be released next week according to sources.

Over at the Netscape blog, they are running a design contest for the splash screen for the new Browser. The submissions are beautiful! I personally like #14.

There is a nice write up over at Auto Parts Place with their take on Propeller. They did some digging and concluded that Propeller is awesome. We concur!

I believe this is proof that Propeller can stand on its own as a separate brand in spite of traffic being down after the switch.

Tom Announced in his blog yesterday that a new site for Propeller is in the works. The Netscape team has always been good about listening to member feedback and I assume will continue to do so with Propeller.

So, I want to start a list of ideas that you might like to see on Propeller. Is there something you really want to see on Propeller that is absent from your experience? Ever said “God I wish I could…”? Well now is your chance!

Please post your ideas in the comments of this post. Remember, Propeller is a social news network, so requests for applications like the “Happy Hour” application on Facebook might be off topic. But really, who doesn’t want to be given a free virtual drink? It is almost as good as a virtual lunch.
